Dear Mountain Families,

The countdown has begun to the start of the holiday season. Our first holiday break is next week, November 25-29.

We will be collecting canned goods for 2nd Harvest Food Bank through December. Donations can be placed in the bin outside the office

Please take am moment at drop-off or pick-up to look through the lost and found. The pile of sweatshirts and jackets is growing exponentially. Anything not claimed by 12/20 will be donated.

We still have parents/guardians wanting to participate in field trips who have not completed the application and fingerprint process. If you want to be able to attend a field trip with your student, you MUST complete the steps listed below. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Be on the lookout Monday morning for an article about Mountain's own 4th grader, Niko Powers, who will be featured in Lookout Santa Cruz. Niko wrote his own musical about the transcontinental railroad that will be performed this week by the 4th grade class. We are so proud of Niko and look forward to an amazing debut of his play.

Thanks for your support!
Warm regards,

Megan Tresham

Volunteers
Volunteers are an important part of our school community and there are so many things that would not happen without their help.

If you are interested in volunteering in the classroom or on field trips and have gone through the fingerprinting/live scan process for Mluntain Elementary in a previous school year, please complete the RETURNING VOLUNTEER FORM.

If you are new to Mountain or have never completed fingerprints/live scan for our school, please fill out the NEW VOLUNTEER APPLICATION.

No volunteer may participate in any class activity or field trip without first completing this appication and all required steps listed therein. This includes parents who only plan to drive their students. Thanks for your support.
