I came to Mountain Elementary School District in 2017 after two years at the Santa Cruz City Schools District. There is much to appreciate every day at this beautiful campus watching children grow and thrive with such a dedicated staff. I have often been blessed with the good fortune of working with “dream teams,” and that is certainly the case here at Mountain School.

Prior to the school districts, I worked in accounting for several local businesses. I also served for 7 years as a licensed administrator for a residential facility for adults with mental illness. In 1998 I started a dance studio called Motion Pacific in downtown Santa Cruz, which I turned over to a friend twelve years later. Today I am excited to see it continuing with yet a third owner taking the helm.

Santa Cruz has been home to me since 1985, though I am still a proud native West Virginian. When I’m not working, I enjoy fishing on the Bay, poetry, cooking and baking with my family.
